Tri-County ATV Park
TRI-COUNTY EXPANSION HAS
BEEN COMPLETED! The Expansion adds another separate pit with
flat area suitable for small circle track course/drags and many hill
climbs.
Tri-County ATV Park is an abandoned gravel pit
split in two. The north half has a large tabletop, a couple of
hill climbs and a wide, sandy hillside similar to a sand dune.
The south half consists of a couple berms, and a long, slightly
uphill straightaway with a single jump running across it.

Brian's Review
Overall Rating: 4 stars
Fun Factor: 4 stars
Trail Accessibility: 4 stars
Trail Length: 2 stars
Difficulty Level: 3 stars
Pros: Soft sand in
the scrambling area - very forgiving. Jumps and berms are
perfect for my quad. Hill climbs. ATVs only. Friendly people.
Shelter/cookout area. Close proximity to me. Usually always
quads their on weekends.
Cons: The rocks, oh my god, the rocks. Make them stop.
The trail is far, far shorter than advertised on the DNR
website.
I love going to Tri-County, because it's so close
to where I live, and you can very easily work up a sweat out
there. If you have a sport quad, you need to give Tri-County a
try. If you have a utility quad, and are out for a slow ride,
you will probably get bored of the trail in about 15 minutes.
However, expansion of the pit will take place during the
Winter/Spring of 2005-06.
If your plan is to run full throttle through the whole pit, then
you are going to want to get a set of skid plates. The rocks in
the middle of the pit are brutal to rims, sprockets, and
anything else unprotected.
If you are planning a trip here, let me know, because I'm there
all the time...
